I went shopping today. I reached a sad little conclusion that my clothes no longer fit the way they should and it was time to enlarge my wardrobe (did you get the double meaning?).
It was a soul-destroying event.
I have a trainer. I do 60mins of exercise a day. I eat salad for lunch at least three days each week. I do not drink. I can run 10km's. I use the real weights in the gym. I do 10000 Steps a day.
I still weigh nearly 80kg's.
My weight is doing the exact opposite of what I am telling it to.
The last blog I wrote was over 6months ago. It was a time when I had convinced myself that I was on track and all this exercise was starting to pay off. It's really hard to swallow the fact that seven months later I am in a worse position than where I started. My GP feels that it is due to the recovery process of glandular fever... Sounds like an excuse though doesn't it? (That said, times are bad when other people feel a need to come up with excuses for you!)
I am writing this in a bid to further motivate myself. I am off to see my trainer this afternoon and I bought some of those OptiFast diet shakes this morning (I am disgusted that it has gone this far, but BMI = 28.5, times are bad...).
Let's hope it all comes together soon.
