Groundhog Day

New day. Slightly bigger departure lounge. :-p

The good news is that Cairns airport now has a healthy habits so at least I can grab a yummy, healthy smoothie or juice while I'm waiting on my flight.

Off to a little (and I mean tiny!) town just outside of Townsville, called ingham, for the day. Doing some specialist functional testing.

Seems like an awfully long way to go for a two hour assessment. At least it's Wednesday and the working week is half done! :-)

I love how you live in the future. It's only 4:30pm on Tuesday here! (I know I should be used to that but it tickles me every time)

It's a bizarre concept to get your head around- i still smile at it too. :-) October 20 we won't have to worry about it!!

Interesting ... not the airport stuff but the functional fitness testing. What tests do you do?

We just do a basic functional capacity evaluation. Keep in mind thought that we're a Government department... ROM, strength, dexterity, fitness, gait analysis, functional tolerances (sitting, standing, etc). Fairly crude but effective testing methods. We can't do anything too exciting because of the demographic, but at least the reports are very analytical because we're dealing with people who've largely had no treatment for complex injuries and diseases. There's a lot of rehab guessing and crystal ball gazing. Lots of if we fixed this would this then be better.
