Marley & Me

I just finished reading Marley & Me (yes I know everyone else read it three years ago, but I was studying then - there really wasn't time!) and I have to admit there were more than a few tears at the end. I had all these flashbacks to when Ralph, Zep and Bailey died... (We had one get run over after escaping and two that got cancer from the anti-termite spray they put on the house... After they had assured us it didn't hurt dogs!). So sad... I have to admit though, and I realise people may throw things at me, I found the first half of this book really hard to get into. Don't get me wrong, their adventures were entertaining but... I don't know. So many people have this book listed as one of their favourites on facebook, mypsace, etc. but it just didn't make it their for me. I'm actually a little confused as to how it made it into the top 100 books of all time... The adventures that Marley and his owner had were entertaining, but I guess I just wasn't that into the style of the writing... Or maybe with everything that's been going on this week I just couldn't get into it properly?? That's actually a very real explanation. I might try it again in a few months and see what i think...

Next I'm going to attempt Tuedays With Morrie another book that should've been read years ago... Stop laughing at how behind I am! Oh, and Kristina, you got me intrigued with that book you mentioned, it's being shipped over by Amazon as we speak. ;)
