Ok, so perhaps "world domination" may be a slight exaggeration... Perhaps I should just rephrase it to something less threatening, like Stephanie's Plan to Get An Elite Athletic Trainer position. Yeah, I like the world domination one better too...
Anyway, I got some interesting news the other day that my uncle (my professional hero) has just been offered this absolutely incredible job over in India training one of the cricket teams there. It was just the boost that I needed at the moment. It really helped me to refocus my attention on the fact that this job was always supposed to temporary until I found something I actually wanted to do. It seems at some point I just lost sight of what I really wanted to achieve and I ended up miserable. It's funny how easy it is to just get stuck in what you're doing and forget why you were there in the first place.
So, good news is that I'm back on track. I joined the official S&C coach association yesterday (something I have been meaning to do for 2years!) and have signed up for the daily job updates. I'm ordering my Olympic bar next pay hopefully and have been back into the weight training pretty full-on for about 6weeks now. Life is good! I really needed this at the moment, it helped me to see how trivial all this stuff at work is. Hopefully at some point in the next year it will all cease to matter! :) Fingers crossed...
I love sporting metaphors...!
