This was by far the most heart wrenching image I've seen so far. Baby Montana being carried about by a military personnel after being rescued from her home in Forrest Hill after it was hit by an 8m wall of water on Tuesday. Her name is scrawled on her arm in black marker. So so very sad. How do you not wonder what has happened to her parents. Let's pray they're right behind her but just didn't make the image or they were on the next flight out.Cairns people don't forget to keep an eye on those cyclones. One out over Fiji and one much closer to home that the bureau are saying could form by the weekend. Let's hope this crazy weather starts to die down soon.
I've turned the tv off now, I can't take anymore of the awful images... So many people have lost everything, including loved ones.

We were the same Steph. We had to turn it off...there were just so many sad stories, one after the other. I really hope her parents weren't too far behind her.Fingers crossed that cyclone/s stays away, I think QLD and Australia for that matter have had enough devastation for a while.
Our thoughts are with all of you in Qld.
Good news!! The flood waters have receded and the two cyclones we were watching have amounted to nothing. I guess we can all breathe easier for a little while. It seems the worst is now over.
Long road ahead for those in the south east though...
