My Saturday

Spent today on the roof (6 whole hours!!!!) redoing the patio roof and gutters. Dad and Ben were over helping me out, and after we worked out that when Patio World built the roof they didn't bother reinforcing it, Dad was banned from setting foot on it (Sorry Dad - love you lots so I would prefer if you didn't fall through my roof and die) so he was sweet enough to do the yard while Ben and I were slaving away in the heat. There were a few moments where I had no jobs to do so I got some pruning in as well.

Whenever the yard gets done I hate my ghetto house so much less - I don't understand why I don't do it more often so that I can be proud of my house and actually like coming home?!?!??!!?

Nearly done with the roof now.

Managed to get lots of indoor housework done yesterday so things are looking much better than they have in a while. I'm thanking Katy Perry for the motivating effect her music has. :-)

Tonight it was a few drinks, some mars bar slice for the family and chilling out with Katy (yes, again!! I LOVE her) and then some Gilmore Girls. Had a realisation the other day that I've got a Luke/Lorelei thing happening in my life. She got a happy ending with him after all those years, what do you think the chances are that I will...?

Oooooh! And on that note, putting it to the audience: My friend, Adam, and I were having a debate about whether, if you have feelings for someone, you should tell them. He was a straight out "yes you should". I'm more of the opinion that you have to wait for the right time, and if it's not right for the other person, then it's not fair to dump it on them. You can't just lay that on someone out of the blue. Thoughts?
