Just read about this program on the Nike site All your crusty, old runners can be returned to drop-off points and recycled by Nike to make playing surfaces and athletic tracks in communities that otherwise couldn't afford them.
Check out this site to find the shoe drop-off point nearest you. You get to clean out the cupboard, help the environment and the less fortunate all in one go. Not bad!
