Once again I've probably overshot with the title and made a statement that I can't live up to. I had the day off work today, well most of the day, I went in for a few hours in the morning before I was sent home for looking so terrible. My stomach has been playing up a little and I am exhausted. I don't know if it's the training or stress or just being a little run down, but I have no energy at the moment and I was losing my motivation.
After spending much of my day on the couch I decided that the only way I could help my stomach with the whole digestion process was to do a little Body Attack. At the risk of oversharing, when things are moving along the way they're meant to, usually a bit of jumping around, sweating and pushing your heart rate really high can speed the whole process up. Anyway... I decided to go in to the gym and honestly once I got there I felt like I didn't have the energy to do anything, then to make matters worse the instructor turned out to be a friend of mine who I have no desire to embarass myself in front of.
Long story short - I managed to hold it together for the entire class, I took all the advanced options (except for jacks of course) and I came out the other side totally pumped up! (though not any lighter if you get my drift...) I think it was one of the best classes I've done in soooo long. I'm loving that I have this renewed enthusiasm for aerobics classes. I think what's really helping me is that I'm a lot fitter this time than I was the last time I attempted to 'get back into it'. This time it's not as much of a physical struggle. But to fair, that is the result of the months that I spend running prior to Christmas. It may not have helped my weight but it is certainly paying off in the gym.
Now all I have to do is get on the cranberry juice and hope my stomach sorts itself out before work tomorrow or I will not be going... Too risky... ;P
