Things like this really put everything into perspective. Keri must've told me a million times that I was spending too much time studying and I think her message finally got through. Definitely going to be taking it easier with the study from now on. I hadn't seen her in weeks because I'd be so flat out with exams and assignments, and now I'm questioning why. In the short run it doesn't make any difference if my MBA is finished or in completion. The promotion relied on me undertaking it and that's what I've done. What a waste to spend your time neglecting the people around you just for a piece of paper.
I'm going to keep studying next semester, but from now on I'll be pacing myself. More to life than pieces of paper. I do enjoy studying, but not at the expense of other things (read: people) that are important.
Get better Miss Keri - Love you! x

sending prayers her way steph. I also said straight away that my problems seemed so trivial all of a sudden, just unfortunate that it took news like this to make me realise... xox
Thanks Jen. She's such a tough cookie but she's going to need all the help she can get with this one. Long road to recovery. But if anyone can do it Keri can. The woman runs sub-four hour marathons on the end of an ironman triathlon. x
I'm glad you've taken Keri's advice and are going to slow down a little to enjoy life a bit more. I always worry that you're burning the candle at both ends.
I agree with you though - I don't know Keri that well, but if anyone can pull through this I think she can.
She'll be grateful for you supporting her and standing by her side.
My prayers are most definitely with Keri.

Oh Steph! That's right, sometimes it takes something unpleasant & serious to realise what really does matter in life. I will be sending my prayers to Keri & hope that you will be looking after yourself too during this time. Take care, Love Jenny
Thanks Jenny. That means a lot. x
